  • On-site animal care: Students gain practical experience with on-site kennels and work with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, exotics, and farm animals, in the first few weeks of the program.
  • Comprehensive skills training: The curriculum includes training in surgery, anesthesia, radiography, dental cleaning, and diagnostic testing, preparing students for a wide range of tasks.
  • AVMA accreditation: The program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Council on Education and graduates are eligible to take the national exam.

Our Facility

What will you see in our Vet Tech program facilities?

Our AWESOME facilities are designed to promote hands-on learning of the skills you will need. You really have to visit us and see it to understand it.

Areas in our vet tech program facilities include:

  • On-site kennels, housing a variety of animals including dogs and cats (and often rabbits, mice, and the occasional lizard!)
  • An on-site surgical suite with a surgical preparation area.
  • A radiography area with safety and imaging equipment.
  • Diagnostic medical equipment found in veterinary facilities.
  • Animal friendly classrooms equipped for hands-on learning.

Our on-site animals are usually vaccinated, evaluated for health issues, microchipped and spayed/neutered as we prepare them to be adopted out to their forever homes.

Vet Tech Institute also partners with large animal facilities so our students can gain experience and confidence working with large animals, like horses and cows.

  • Administer anesthesia
